Day 9 - Sunday October 3rd

New York City, NY

It was a perfect day for a trip to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.  The starting point was an old railroad station that is now used as the ferry station.

The long line was for the security check, which was much more extensive than any airport security that I've been through.  While waiting in line, Josh and I noticed that the bricks we were standing on were made of wood.

Ellis Island, home of the Immigrant Museum.

Liberty Island, and some views of the Manhattan skyline from the ferry.

Some tired, poor, huddled masses yearning for the ferry to come back.
