Day 9 - Friday June 3rd
East of Denver, CO
- After I left Moab, I called to see if the main road through Rocky
Mountain National Park was open. It wasn't so I took I-70
towards Denver with the intent of just going through Winter Park and
some other small Colorado towns. This was on a road along the
way.
Winter Park, CO
- On the way up to the ski resort area, it started snowing! I
found out later that the small part of I-70 that I bypassed was
closed to vehicles without tire chains, so it was a pretty big
storm. But for me, the snow only lasted for about 30 minutes,
then I was back down out of the high mountains and it was just
raining.
