Day 4 - Sunday May 29th
Hollywood, CA -
The rain continued on into Sunday morning while I was checking out
the Walk of Fame. I wanted to take a picture of a star on the
Walk that was more famous than any of the rest. I'm not sure
if that first picture qualifies, but she is obviously up there.
Below are pictures of some of the other stars,
the Kodak Theater where American Idol is filmed, and Mann's Chinese
Theater.
Mann's Chinese Theater is where some of the stars
have their hand/foot prints in concrete, so I took a few pictures of
some of my favorites. In front of the theater were some
characters from various movies. One of them was Gandalf from
Lord of the Rings, so about every five minutes you would hear him
yell, with exaggerated pauses, "You....shall not....pass!" So
I slapped him like a girl and walked past him.
Malibu, CA -
The Pacific Coast Highway is pretty disappointing
going through Malibu. All of the shops and houses are on the
West side of the highway, so you can't see the water! So I
took the long way from Malibu to get to Camarillo. It ended up
being about the most crooked and winding road I've ever driven, and
that is saying something.
Camarillo, CA
- Mason and Heather's Rehearsal Dinner - I arrived
in Camarillo just in time for the sound check. Mason, Alex and
Dave were going to play some songs for the rehearsal dinner, and
they asked me to do a sound check with them because their drummer
wasn't there yet. Well, it turns out that he wasn't able to
make it that night, so yours truly played drums. It was fun.
